SHEILA HANRAHAN
In my 20 years experience working with issues people bring to therapy most often, I see our work together as work of the soul and the soul’s journey.
I see myself as a guide, witness, facilitator and companion for those traveling the path towards self-realization, wholeness and self-empowerment.
It is often a journey into the unconscious using the sacred language of the dream, myths and one’s creative process. It is also a journey of relationship.
Originally coming from a background in the arts, I have a masters degree in social work and am a licensed clinical professional counselor.
I have been most influenced by Carl Jung and his psychology and by women’s psychology and spirituality.
I bring to my work a deep commitment and dedication to my own journey.
Some of the soul issues I work with include: Grief, Women’s Issues, Depression, Self-Esteem, Anxiety, Addictions, Intimacy, Abuse, Incest, and Major Life Transitions. I am familiar with the Twelve Steps. Most insurance accepted.
I specialize in but am not limited to work with the creative person’s process, women’s issues and alternative life-styles.
